Cubot P9 smartphone priced $95 leaves us wondering if it is a good buy. So we decided to do a detailed review and rate it on all aspects and here is what all we discovered about this new Chinese mobile in the market.

The design of the Cubot P9 looks familiar as it is inspired by Samsung, not just in respect of the shape but also in the pattern on the both sides the back and the front. A light, phone call speaker along with a proximity sensor along with the front camera, are on the front side. On this side in the lower half, there are three capacitive buttons representing the functions menu, back and front. There is also a continuous frame which is coated with metallic paint which has a volume rocker embedded into it. There is also a voice microphone as well asa Micro USB port along with the power button and 3.5mm headphone jack which is on the upper side.

The price range to which P9 belongs one cannot expect much, but it is really not disappointing. But sometimes the screen displays a wrong shade. The major shortcoming is the view angles are not good. The touch screen is reacting well but it sometimes lacks a bit of preciseness.

The battery life is one of the most impressive things about the Cubot P9 as the battery capacity is 2,200mAhIf you use it under average, then you can go about2-4 days without having to recharge the phone. The charging time from 20% to 100% is around 2.5 hours.

The phone has built in dual camera but front camera in this phone is only usable for video calls or chats. However, the back camera with resolution of 5 mega pixels gives a decent performance. The pictures clicked are sharp and the color reproduction is ok. The audio quality of the smartphone is pretty good.

Coming to the connectivity, this seems to be a strong ground as the GPS reception quality of the Cubot P9 is excellent and is even better than many more expensive phones. If needed, one can use this phone as an outdoor GPS device. Bluetooth works well with the Cubot P9 and the connectivity reach isabout 10 to 12 meters.

Inside this smartphone is a MTK6572 (More) dual core processor clocked at 1.3Ghz along with a Mali 400MP GPU and 512MB RAM. The internal memory of the smartphone has a size of 4GB, but of this only 1GB is free for use so most users will probably need a Micro SD card. Cubot P9 ranks next to the Samsung Galaxy S2 in the ranking table. To conclude on can say that Cubot P9 is surely an excellent phone for its price range and is a suitable option for users with moderate demands.
